Prose that pushes buttonsAfter I read (and loved) this book, I bugged several writer pals to read it. No one's on the fence. It's love it or hate it, which is a sign that the author did it right. Some of my friends found it off-putting for the same reasons mentioned in other reviews here, but I was completely fished in. The writing is a balls-out blast, plenty good enough for me to willingly suspend disbelief and laugh my head off.
