In space and in story, there's no such thing as nothing

Gary and I were quite taken with this little piece about the Hubble telescope's observations in deep space. I couldn't help thinking about how this applies to the evolution of story. You open your eyes, allow the light to come in, and the possibilities are infinite.

That is indeed the most beautiful metaphor for storytelling. I live in this place where the more I look the more stories I find. People say, "How can you stand it in the winter? There's nothing!" But that is when the distractions of the near stars and starlets disappear and the truly great stories emerge if you open your eyes. Looking forward to sharing! Meanwhile I'm totally engrossed in three of your books.
